The Fall Feasts Are Coming: Day Of Trumpets (Yom Teruah)

What are the Biblical Feasts and why should I, as a Believer, keep them? Click here

Good to be with you again to speak very briefly about The Feast of Trumpets, or Yom Teruah.  We learn of this appointed time in Leviticus 23:23-35.

My desire in sharing with you is twofold:

  1. I want to make you aware that there is a feast called Yom Teruah, and it is coming soon.
  2. I hope to inspire you to begin to study about and acknowledge it as part of your faith walk.

If you have read this far, I’ve been somewhat successful!  Now what? Glad you asked!

Here are a few things I would like to share about this feast:

For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God.

Friends, THIS is why I study the feasts of YHVH!  They each have prophetic significance.

Yom Teruah is a dress rehearsal for Yeshua’s return!!!!!

Isn’t that exciting?!!!!

I shared with you that Yom Teruah is coming soon.  Check your calendars, Friends!  It takes place each year on the first day of the seventh month.  At my house*, that means we will be celebrating Yom Teruah beginning at sunset on September 15th and throughout the day on September 16th (2023).  I will not promise you that these are the exact correct dates to celebrate, but, as I shared last we were together, we can only see in the mirror dimly at this time.  But one day….one day we will fully know!

While brief and very elementary, I hope I have given you enough information about Yom Teruah to tip your curiosity and give you a starting point for doing a bit of your own research.  If nothing else, just tell The Father that you acknowledge His Appointed Time and do some shouting on September 15th and 16th.  It’s a start!

Following Yom Teruah, is a solemn day called Yom Kippur, or the Day of Atonement.  I will be back to share a bit about it soon and invite you to…Come Seek With Me!

*There are debates about calendars that I will not subject you to…but let’s just say that there are differing opinions on when to celebrate the feasts.  I think of it kind of like church denominations.  For example, Baptists and Methodists differ in some aspects but have many more aspects in common.  It’s the same with the date debate.  I urge you to be gentle and kind in your differences with other believers and focus on the aspects that you have in common.
