Rabbit Trails

I had a conversation with someone this past week. They asked a question and I answered with Scripture.
This person replied, “But how do you know you’re right? What if I’m right?”

I responded, “You are absolutely right to question me and you should never just trust anyone when they tell you what is in the Bible. You should go and read it for yourself. Never take someone’s word for it. But I think, instead of trying to decide if you are right or if I’m right, we need to instead acknowledge that God is right.”

There was a moment of silence, A nodding from both of us, and further awe at the Father. (Our awe will continue to grow the closer we get to Him)

I thought of that as I read David’s words in our first psalm today:

“Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!” Psalm 133:1

We have so many differences.
So many denominations.
So many doctrines.
So many translations.
So many traditions.
So many different ways of doing things.
We, as a group of believers, are about as different in some ways as stripes and polka dots.

But here we are, under the umbrella of our Father, sitting side by side, brothers and sisters in Him, searching His Word together. ❤️

And amid all of our differences, amid our King James and NLT, our Church of this and First Church of that, amid YHWH’s Feasts and man’s holidays, our stripes and our polka dots, we can come together today and worship Him –
because He is right.

Test everything, hold tight to what is good.~ 1 Thess 5:21

We are saved by Grace alone: Obedience is not the root of our salvation, it is the fruit!

May YHWH bless the reading of His Word!
