Rabbit Trails

Today in Job the Father appears – and reveals Himself in ways that many of us may not have considered. I want to remind you that in the original Hebrew, we did not see the all caps LORD most of our Bibles show us, but His personal name, which appeared as יהוה  in the text.

Rather than pour wrath down upon Job, instead He takes the time to demonstrate the depth of his attention to all of creation. Even though we know this to see Him go into such detail can’t help but awaken us even more to the realization that He truly does care after the least of creation, every detail, nothing passes by his love and care. He pays Fatherly attention to every creature, great and small! ?❤️

Where Job had considered Him to be somewhat distant, here we see the Father explaining that everything near and far is being cared for, looked after, personally by Him. How, then, could He ever forget His servant, Job?

YHWH’s thoughts are deeper, more profound and far more all encompassing than we could ever fathom. We can spend our lifetime pursuing Him and His ways and still be in a state of continually learning about the depth of His love.

These verses today, I’ve read them over and over and each time I find myself growing in awe of the greatness, the immeasurable depth of our Father’s love and care.

May we read it together today as many times as our day permits, and grow more and more in awe that this very same God looks after each detail of our lives as well.

Hey y’all, no matter what: Book open. Eyes on Him.

We serve a mighty God and He has given us a name better than sons and daughters. He has led us here and He will lead us on. Isaiah 56:5

Test everything, hold tight to what is good.~ 1 Thess 5:21

We are saved by Grace alone: Obedience is not the root of our salvation, it is the fruit!

May YHWH bless the reading of His Word!
