Prayer for The Front Porch Fellowship And Seeking Scripture

Dear Father,

Thank you for bringing each of us together here to study your Word. As we seek you in this endeavor and throughout our lives, please press upon us the humility to see the shortcoming in ourselves and to recognize, daily, our need for you. Help us to consider others higher than ourselves, lest we follow the world in considering ourselves higher than others.

Help us to love and encourage one another as we seek to grow closer to you. Please guide us with your spirit whenever we see a brother or sister struggling, seeking, and searching for you, allowing us to see one another as you see us and love one another as you love us.

Father, teach us to value our differences, recognizing that just because someone isn’t in our image, does not make them any less in your image. Help us to be mindful of the fact that you have blessed each of us with an individual journey to you, and though there is only one path, each of us will inevitably walk that path differently. No two people will have the same gait, speed, or needs along the way. Therefore, we humbly ask that you equip us with the words, strength, and peace to encourage all of our brethren as only you can see what we need in the moment.

Father, thank you for the great honor of having a purpose in your plan. Thank you for the gift of your Word and for allowing us to serve you and know you.

Father, please bless the members of this Bible study and guide our conversations that we may come together in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control to bring further honor and glory to your name.
