Yup, we’re reading the whole book in one day!

•The Hebrew name of this book is Shiyr Hashiyrim, which means song of songs.

•Solomon is widely believed to be the author of this book and this is supported by several verses.

•The theme of this book is that of love between a husband and wife. It is set apart from the rest of the Bible by its poetic language and deeply personal writings. Another theme that develops is the assurance of love within a covenant relationship.

•Many see this entire book as being symbolic of our relationship with the Father. While I do feel there is an applicable theme, I also feel this book is a literal love song to one of Solomon’s wives. You may see it differently than I do – and that is okay.

•This is one of 1005 songs that Solomon wrote. 1 Kings 4:32

And this, my friends, completes my shortest note posting as I leave you to read and make what you will of Song of Songs.

Tomorrow we begin Isaiah and there is much work for me to do!

Test everything, hold tight to what is good.~ 1 Thess 5:21

We are saved by Grace alone: Obedience is not the root of our salvation, it is the fruit!

May YHWH bless the reading of His Word!
