Why hasn’t anyone answered the question I submitted to Ask and Answer?

Thank you for reaching out, we are sorry for any disappointment in not featuring your question. As much as we would love to be able to answer every question, I’m afraid we simply aren’t able.

At the time of printing this, we have 25,000 members in the Bible study group and around 6,000 who read on the site. The Seeking Scripture team is made up of a group of volunteers who devote as much time as possible (many giving full time hours), but at the end of the day, we simply don’t have the staff or ability to answer each and every question or comment that comes our way.

Our wonderful community, along with our dedicated admin team, help answer a lot of questions in the discussion group each day so we keep the back and forth discussion there as that is where we have the most concentrated number of volunteers. (However, even in the discussion group, we are simply unable to answer every question and some questions are best left for the Father to answer regardless.)

Some questions are best suited to ask in the discussion group, such as:

  • Bible study questions
  • General questions about Seeking Scripture

For Bible study questions, our goal in the Bible study is to equip you with the tools to be able to seek out answers and test everything for yourself, as that is a responsibility we each have as believers. However, we also have to accept that sometimes the answers we seek are simply not available to us beyond someone’s speculation, and so we trust the Father with those and keep seeking, knowing that He will reveal what He wants us to know in His timing.

I am reminded of Deuteronomy 29:29

“The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law.”

In our Ask and Answer column, our goal is to answer questions pertaining to walking the narrow path in today’s world. In other words, navigating living out your faith. In that endeavor, we try to choose the questions that will be most helpful to believers as a whole or that are asked the most often.

So please know that it isn’t that we don’t want to answer all of your questions and be available and helpful as much as possible, but rather, we have to choose the best use of our very limited time to continue to lead the Bible study and produce new content that is helpful to the community.

The members of the Seeking Scripture team have a sincere love for each person going through our study and we pray for each of you daily. It is an honor to get to study His word alongside you and while not all of your questions will be answered, we think you will find the support of the community to be a blessing and great encouragement regardless.

Gratefully,

About the Seeking Scripture Team: We are a group of believers from all walks of the faith, saved by grace alone through faith in our Messiah. While we are of one accord in many things, we are all works in progress and lifelong learners. Therefore the opinions of one may not always represent the opinions of all.
